I was really surprised at the treatment. It was top shelf all the way. We didn't lift a finger to load or unload our gear; we got catered dinner; and Sarah and the rest of our entourage got "All Access" passes to back stage and the green rooms we were in.
The audience was great and they loved us. After the show we had so many people coming up to us telling us how great it was.
This was by far a new level in my musical career. There were probably at least 1500 people there. It was a rush.

That's so fabulous! Good work, John!
Wow, that would be so cool! The only time I did any kind of performing in a band was the sort of half-time act for another band at a senior graduation party in Portland. I did backup vocals with this other guy who sang and played the guitar. It was about 15 minutes, but I still remember how cool it was to get up and perform. To open for a band like Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is a whole other world. I'm glad it went so well.
